SIGNED AND DATED ORIGINAL FINE ACRYLIC ART
Art has been a constant theme in my life since I was young. As such, creative ways of teaching young children, ages four to seven, occupied close to thirty years of my life. My natural ability in art, as well as my formal education at Shoreline College, and the University of Washington, played a large roll in my teaching, and my personal art work.
I was married during this time, and I have a wonderful family. After retirement there has been more time for exploring art, as well as traveling.
Most of my inspiration for paintings come from the nature around us, in the various states of the U. S. and also from touring through parts of Canada, and many European countries. I love having been able to explore the beautiful regions of mountains, rivers, and beaches of the world. I found it fascinating to explore tiny villages, but also noting the contrast of large cities.
My painting style has changed over time, and developed from realism to a more stylized form. It’s exciting to experience the combination of different colors, and forms. Mostly I use acrylic on canvas, however sometimes I venture into photography, watercolor, and oils.
My art studio and gallery are located in part of our home in Terrace Heights, Wa.
I have participated in the Tour of Studios held on Labor Day weekend and may have an Open House a couple times a year. I am a member of Yakima Valley Art Association, Larson Gallery, Gallery One in Ellensburg, NOAPS – National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Association, and display paintings in The Boxx Gallery in Tieton during the Shrub Steppe theme in the Fall.
Different sizes of prints, on canvas, art paper, wood or metal, t-shirts, tote bags, pillow cases and more can be purchased through Fine Art America. ( Great Gift Ideas )
