I am an artist and an educator. In 2023, I founded Urban Sketching Yakima! (the exclamation is intentional), a group of watercolor artists whose passion it is to visually document the Yakima Valley.  In addition to being a sketchbook artist and watercolorist, I create  mixed-media journals with handmade papers, prints, textiles, and collages. I love teaching art and writing because we all have an important and unique story to tell. Currently I am co- writing and illustrating a children’s book set in Central Washington.

The process of creating art has always been a passion and my most favorite thing is empowering students to break complex skills and concepts down into small, easy-to-understand steps.
