Art has always been part of my life. I was immersed in childhood with my artist mother, collecting folk art with my husband, gardening, painting and now ceramic sculpture.

Fired Clay has always been a part of my indoor life but inspired by my love of the outdoors. The great Pacific Northwest is also an ingredient in my writing.
My passion for art passion is seen here at YakimaArt.com. My poetry is also available online on my Poetry Blog.

Wood art is my life. I am devoted to the use of traditional hand tools and carving techniques. I start with freshly cut trees, then study each log to determine its best use and the potential sculpture encased within.
I use local waste wood, that would be land-filled or burned, to create art that gives both visual and tactile pleasure.

Ceramics has been a part of my life for over 20 years. While working as a theatre major in college, I took a beginning clay class for fun and never looked back.
I have a studio in my home where I retreat from the daily grind and pinch pots to my hearts content. I find such pleasure in the solitude of my studio.
