SIGNED AND DATED ORIGINAL FINE ACRYLIC ART
I moved to Yakima in 1982 from Seattle. I have enjoyed art projects, drawing and painting most of my life. Art was important in High School projects, as well as taking my first formal lessons in portrait drawing. Continuing art classes at the University of Washington was a great joy.
Creative ways of teaching young children through art occupied many years of my life. After retirement I’ve loved exploring different uses of mediums and colors. Now I mostly use acrylic paint on canvas, as well as some water colors, and photography.
Most of the inspiration for my art comes from my garden, the nature around us, and from travel to interesting places. It’s been fun having my own little space, my studio-workshop, in our downsized home for retirement in Terrace Heights. Recently I was able to take over another room in our house for a small art gallery. It’s already filled with my paintings. Appointments can be made to view and buy my work, as well as possibly having an open house at times. I look forward to being part of the Yakima art scene.
