Floral inspiration in the Yakima area is abundant. Taking a walk in the Shrub steppe area Cowiche Canyon and Up-lands is a feast of native colors. Or stepping out in my own garden. Nature around us provides me with beautiful floral subjects I feel compelled to put on canvas.
In Steppe Charm, I painted this in collage form, making five different sections, depicting different wild flowers that grow in Cowiche Canyon area, also adding a little quail, which are abundant in the area.
