"Blooming in the Bleak"- Doug formed the barbed wire nest and wood turned the eggs, and Ana Li wood burned and painted the eggs with endangered flowers of Washington.

"Blood Red Moon" is inspired by Rod Nelson's poem of the same name and was accepted into the "Inspired: The Art of Poetry" show at Larson Gallery, winning the Director's Choice Award. Doug wood turned the moon tear-drop and added the art work. Lyn added encaustic medium with textured red blood drops.

It-Opened-Blue - is inspired by Mark Fuzie's poem, "My Uncle's Third Eye" and was accepted into the "Inspired: The Art of Poetry" show at Larson Gallery. Ana Li Gresham wood burned and painted the gourd, and Lyn did the pine needle coiling, beadwork, and setting.

“Hope from a Gingko”-  Doug turned the vase, Ana Li Gresham wood-burned and painted two chickadees flying in the gingko branches and leaves.  The leaf on the lid has a nuclear cloud burned into it, a tribute to the resilience of the gingko trees which have survived Hiroshima and many other environmental challenges. 23.5” x 7”

Gourds

"Monarca" is inspired by Angie Araujo's poem, "El Valle" and was accepted into the "Inspired: The Art of Poetry" show at Larson Gallery. Gourd with acrylic painting, pine needle coiling, and beading.

“Classy” is 20” tall with the cottonwood branches. Pine needle coiling tops the gourd, which is textured with layers of encaustic medium, and also makes a base to stand steady.
