Field Mouse Art House Studio
I was born in Seattle and raised on the shore of Lake Washington where as a child I held wild ducklings, swam with frogs and turtles, and discovered the beauty of the natural world. Northwest art was coming into its own, it and remains part of my DNA.
I have been a working artist in Yakima for over seven years and my work has been shown in solo shows, group shows, and a number of juried exhibitions in the Yakima Valley.

All my paintings show action, movement, texture, and storytelling.

Horses know about their 40 million year old history in N. America. Certainly beats our 30 thousand.

Trained in the natural sciences, my work reflects influences from both art and science where I often explore humanity’s relationship to the natural world.
I love working at both large and small scales with paint, watercolor, sumi ink on clayboard, and illustrated paper sculptures.
Clayboard and Sumi Ink is a process of etching through ink to expose the white clay surface, creating a textured connection to nature.
