All sculpture is abstract at some point on the spectrum between life and clay. I believe the point of approaching art is determined by each individual artist and springs from embedded memory. The outcome is gauged by the artist’s involvement in the chosen material. I use replication to find and follow my own response to the evolving form.

These small porcelain figurines are weather resistant and can be left in your garden, flower beds, or pots during harsh weather. These little guys are individually made and each has its own personality.
The plastic nature of slab clay influenced by gravity is inherently organic. And I am a big fan of Simon Kogan and his approach to gravity.
Technically, my clay busts are simply Olla’s turned upside down with a different surface treatment and finish. Each with their own personality!
